Take a break for a sailing holiday on your own private yacht on board catamaran Te Harinui or Jamarh. Relax and recharge with a private tour just for you and your friends, or family, as you explore the Abel Tasman National Park.

All multi-day sailing holidays are personalized to guests onboard, no two tours are the same.

During your stay, your skipper is your personal host and guide, sharing local stories, interesting facts on the geology, flora and fauna, and customizing your time onboard to suit you. There is plenty to experience in the Abel Tasman region including walking the National Park coastal tracks, island and beach strolls, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing and of course sailing! If you are keen, take the helm, pick up some sailing tips and maybe some lessons.

A stay on board holiday is an ideal combination for those wanting to walk the length of the Abel Tasman National Park but still requiring a comfortable bed and chilled wine at the days end.

Anchor in secluded bays and enjoy peaceful nights on board.  You will awake to the sound of the morning birdsong while relaxing with the stillness and beauty of the sunrise. For the longer trips explore the more remote northern end of the National Park accessible by only a few.

Pricing (whole boat). With these packages save up to 25% on the usual daily rate:

Pricing includes Skipper, fuel, bedding & linen, basic pantry stores, use of yacht’s inventory including stand up paddle boards, Kayak, snorkeling & fishing equipment, dinghy, and outboard motor. Pricing for up to 8 people on Te Harinui (6 people pricing is for 3 cabins, 7+ people is for 4 cabins.); Up to 10 people on Jamarh. 

These tours are self-catered. Plan to bring along your own food and beverages. You will have use of the well-equipped galley (kitchen), including basic pantry supplies, tea & coffee, and deck BBQ. Please note it is customary that you provide the skippers meals during your stay.

Trips depart Nelson waterfront. Meeting time 9 am on Day 1 and returning 5 pm on final day.  Kaiteriteri departures by arrangement.
