Anchorage Yacht Stay

Stay on board overnight in Anchorage Bay, the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park. Enjoy the best beachfront accommodation option, sharing your yacht stay with up to 6 others. Dinner, breakfast & refreshments included.

Board your luxury catamaran Te Harinui from Anchorage Beach between 5 & 6pm. Dinner will be served on board soon after, locally sourced and prepared by your skipper. A great chance to relax and take in the serene surroundings as the sun sets.

Anchorage Bay is one of the most stunning bays within the National Park and the most commonly visited by day tourists. From Anchorage Beach you will find plenty of great short walks through the native bush and coastal tracks including Pitt Head and Cleopatra’s pools with the naturally formed rock waterslide. Anchorage is accessible by hiking from Bark Bay or Marahau (around 3-4 hours walk), sailing, kayaking or catching a water taxi from Kaiteriteri Beach.

Te Harinui boasts four master queen cabins on board, each with a private ensuite bathroom. Cabins are booked privately for 1 to 2 guests so a great option for couples. Te Harinui can host between 2 to 8 guests per night.

During your stay you will have full use of yacht’s inventory including stand up paddle board, fishing equipment, snorkeling gear and dinghy.

  • $300 per person for couples, or travelling friends sharing a private cabin.
  • $500 per person for single stay in a private cabin

This includes your accommodation pass (no need to purchase an additional DoC pass), bedding & linen, access to free water activities during your stay, dinner, breakfast & refreshments while on board. We can cater for almost all dietary needs, do please advise us at time of booking.

How to get to your Yacht Stay in Anchorage Bay:

Join others as you sail between Kaiteriteri & Anchorage Beach on our day sailing catamaran, with the afternoon free to explore the National Park's nature walks before boarding your overnight yacht stay. Enjoy beach time the following day before boarding the day sailing catamaran for your afternoon sail, catching the sea breeze back to Kaiteriteri. See our sailing timetable for more information on arrival/departure times. This can be added as an optional extra at the time of booking online.

Join our scheduled daily sailing tours between Kaiteriteri & Anchorage Beach, sailing in one direction and allowing you the freedom to walk further along the coastal trail. This can be used either before or after your overnight yacht stay, please advise us at time of booking. See our sailing timetable for departure/arrival times. This can be added as an optional extra at the time of booking online.

Access Anchorage Bay by foot. Park in the free car parking facility in Marahau and enjoy a self guided walk along the National Park's coastal trail. Walk between Marahau & Anchorage Bay, around 3-4 hours. Or walk from the Northern end of the National Park, enjoying this overnight accommodation as part of your multi-day coastal walk.

A water taxi transfer is a quick option to transfer you in and out of the National Park. This option is suited for those who have time restrictions as there are a wide range of departure times to choose from. We are happy to book your water taxi for you and work with a number of operators in the area. Please just ask us at time of booking your overnight yacht stay.
