Kaiteriteri to Totaranui Transport Options

Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures do not offer transport to Totaranui as part of its normal daily scheduled runs.  However, in light of the new demand for access to Totaranui, because of the road closure, we can now offer the following options.

Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures is a yacht charter company and have 5 sailing catamarans available.  Our options are private charter for the whole boat, not pricing per person or per luggage item.  So we can still offer our usual sailing day trips, we have arranged transfer times to work around this.  There may be occasions when the transfers can be offered during the day.

Option 1

7.00am Boarding Yacht Kaiteriteri
7.30am Yacht departure direct to Totaranui
10.30 -11am Arrive Totaranui, unload.
Price: $1200.00

Option 2

3.30pm Boarding Yacht at Totaranui
4.00pm Depart Totaranui
7.00 – 7.30pm Arrive Kaiteriteri and unload.
Price $1200.00

 

Option 3
Double up Deal

Combine with another group for a two way transfer and receive a discounted fare (same day).
7.30am Boarding yacht Kaiteriteri
8.00am Yacht departure direct to Totaranui
11.00 - 11.30am Arrive Totaranui and unload.
12.00 – 12.30pm Board and load yacht.
12.30pm Depart Totaranui
3.30 – 4pm Arrive Kaiteriteri and unload.
Price $2000.00 Total (i.e.$1000 each way)

We anticipate groups may have reasonable amounts of luggage and do not charge per item.  The yachts have protected sheltered areas inside the hulls for gear that should remain dry e.g. packs, bags etc.  The large flat open decks are ideal for stacking larger items such as chilly bins, collapsible style BBQs, large tents etc.

Abel Tasman Sailing Adventures yachts can take up to 19 people with light gear.  If large amounts of camping gear, i.e. the type that bring the kitchen sink, then suggest approx 12 passengers plus gear. 

Passengers are expected to load and unload their gear.  The yachts are shallow draft and will back up to the edge of the beach for this.

If the winds are right we will be sure to get the sails up so you can enjoy the relaxing, quiet and peaceful way to journey and sight see through the Abel Tasman National Park!
